After three years' dearth of KAF visits due to uncontrollable circumstances, early in March, 2005 I heard about Peter Reinhart's hands-on whole grain bread-baking class to be held in August---so you know, I registered and off we went! What a terrific class--no novices, everyone seemd to know what to do, and the next-best thing to actually making the dough was chowing down on a real picnic afterwards. KAF provided the yummiest cold cuts and pasta salad, all to make sandwiches with Peter's bread.

Peter volunteered 2 from the class to demonstrate mixing and kneading all that very sticky dough. |
Here are (left to right) Bob, Me, and Susan getting Peter's critique of a huge bowl of that sticky dough that we mixed up. |
