SASSY FRENCH TOASTED BRIOCHE
This is not only special, it's yummy and sensual!
Serves: 2
Prep.Time: 20 minutes
3 eggs
1/4 cup half and half
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons Grand Marnier
1 tablespoon sugar
Pinch of kosher salt
4 slices brioche bread or other rich eggy bread
2 tablespoons melted butter
Confectioner's sugar
2 tablespoons whipped cream or thawed whipped topping
Warm maple syrup
In a bowl, combine eggs, milk, vanilla, liqueur and salt; whisk until smooth and well-blended. Soak slices of bread in egg mixture about 20-30 seconds each side. Heat a non-stick griddle or skillet over medium heat; brush with melted butter. Cook bread slices until golden, about 2 minutes per side. Place toast slices on 2 warmed plates; dust with confectioner's sugar, top each with a dollop of whipped cream, and serve with warm maple syrup.
