CAYENNE TOAST
I found this in Chile Pepper Magazine. This is really great with salads, soups and stews; but, never fear---it's great any time. Want a "hot" breakfast? *LOL*

2 tablespoons Butter
2 tablespoons Olive Oil
1 tablespoon minced fresh Parsley
1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
1/2 teaspoon Cayenne
1 French Baguette, cut in 1/4"-thick rounds

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Melt the butter, and add the remaining ingredients except bread. Spread the mixture on the bread rounds and bake until toasted, about 5 minutes per side or until golden.

If using diced bread for croutons, toss the bread cubes in the mixture and bake, turning occasionally, until golden.
